New company. New process. Demonstrated results.
MetCon is a privately owned company founded in 2010 to bring to market a newly invented, patented, electrochemical process for conditioning titanium. Our new production facility is centrally located in Monaca, PA, convenient to many metals producers, and we maintain a research and development facility in Colorado Springs, CO.
The MetCon process represents the largest cost reduction in the production of titanium since the introduction of electron beam hearth melting in the 1980s. In metals terms the company and the process are new, but daily we are demonstrating results that any producer of titanium will appreciate.
Our processing plant was designed and purpose-built for mill products. Per load capacity is 18,000 lbs. with product dimensions up to 24 feet long, 6 feet wide and 32 inches thick. Sheet or plate can be up to 6 inches thick and 260 inches long.
